Job title – Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver
Salary – £11.50 per hour
Work Pattern – Variable hours (average 40 hours per week)
Location – London E6
As a Warehouse Operative you assist with stock deliveries (unloading & loading), picking stock according to store requests & follow warehouse procedures/polices.
Use Counter balance forklift to assist with delveries & oraginisng warehouse stock.
You will need to be self-motivated & have a positive, motivated attitude. This is a very physical role & you will need to comforatble with stock management tasks. Experience working in a similar stock/warehouse role is essential.
You must have a valid counterbalance forklift licence.
You will report to the Warehouse supervisor & onsite management.
Duties/responsibilities:
- Assisting with the loading/unloading of deliveries using forklift and manual handling techniques
- Use forklift to moving and store products in the correct warehouse area
- Processing & scanning large stock deliveries
- Picking & preparing stock for store deliveries
- Report any discrepancies regarding stock (quantities & damage)
- Assist maintaining accurate delivery records
- Cleaning and maintaining warehouse equipment to set standards
- Moving pallets using a provided equipment
- Consistently working to good standards of health and safety and meeting company warehouse standards and procedures
Experience/skills:
- Able to meet the physical demands of the role receiving large quantities of stock (Essential)
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment (Essential)
- Hold a valid counterbalance forklift licence (Essential)
- Experience using a counterbalnce forklift (Essential)
- Good communication skills (Essential)
- Bilingual in English & Mandarin (Desirable)
- Able to work alone & within a team (Essential)
- Previous experience within a FMCG warehouse (Essential)
- Previous manual handling training or experience (Essential)
- Knowledge of South East & East Asian food products (Desirable)
You must have eligibility to work on the UK.
There will be an trial shift as part of the recruitment process.
